Pennsauken’s Excited As Schools Open

The first day of school is around the corner, and we have a lot to celebrate and look forward to for the 2016-17 school year. On Sept. 6, students will be welcomed back to our schools, have new classrooms and new outstanding teachers, and will start making new friends.

Pennsauken Holds Special 9/11 Observances For 15th Anniversary Of Terror Attacks

On the 15th anniversary of the terror attacks committed on September 11, 2001, Pennsauken Township will be hosting several events to remember those who lost their lives and reflect on the sacrifices of those who continue to work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.

School District To Hold Parent Informational Sessions

DistrictLogoThe Pennsauken School District is holding two Parent Informational Sessions next week to highlight school changes, parent and student expectations, and the future direction of the district. The days and times of these sessions are:

Parent Informational Session, Grades K-6: Monday, 8/29 at 6:00 p.m.

Parent Informational Session Grades 7-12: Tuesday, 8/30 at 6:00 p.m.

Both sessions will be held in the Pennsauken High School Auditorium, 800 Hylton Rd., Pennsauken.

Living Faith Christian Center to Host Community Event Where Everything is Free

Burt German Sworn In For Ninth Consecutive Term As MPWC Commissioner

Having served eight full terms as a commissioner of the Merchantville-Pennsauken Water Commission and recently been sworn in for a ninth, G. Burt German has achieved quite a milestone: the second-most consecutive years of service for a commissioner in the history of the water utility.

Bell, III recently joined 300 other young people from across the country to take part in the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Explore STEM, a unique academic experience that allows students to explore career possibilities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

PYAA Celebrates 60th Anniversary With Special Event

Pennsauken Youth Athletic Activities (PYAA) is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a special event Saturday, Aug.6, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the PYAA Field House, 3501 Elm Ave. All PYAA sports participants, volunteers, coaches, etc. – both past and present – are encouraged to come celebrate with food, games, music, 50/50 drawings, and family fun.

Football And Cheerleading Sign-Ups

PYAA football and cheerleading sign-ups will be every Thursday, 6:00-8:00 p.m., and Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., during August. Sign-ups are held at the PYAA Field House, located at 3501 Elm Ave. All forms of payment will be accepted.
