Camden County Hero Scholarship Fund Golf Outing Held At Pennsauken Country Club September 20

!cid_image003_jpg@01D168AFThe Camden County Hero Scholarship Fund is hosting its 24th Annual Golf Outing on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at Pennsauken Country Club, 3800 Haddonfield Ave. The event is hosted in conjunction with the Camden County Fire Chief’s and Officer’s Association, the Camden County Police Chief’s Association, the Camden County Firemen’s Association and the George Figueroa Memorial Fund. The proceeds of this event will benefit the families of Camden County’s police, fire and rescue personnel.

The Camden County Hero Scholarship Fund is a registered public charity whose mission is to provide financial and educational assistance to families of those who have been killed or totally and permanently disabled in the line of duty. Behind these everyday heroes stands an anxious and sacrificing family at home who needs help.

The Hero Scholarship provides the surviving family with a financial contribution within 48 hours of the incident. The organization also offers each surviving child educational assistance once they reach college age. Currently, several children are attending college on this program, with more on the list in the years to come. Support from the community will help to ensure our promise of educational assistance to these young survivors.
