Historic Flag Day Celebration Held On June 17

On Saturday, June 17, from noon to 4:00 p.m., historic Burrough-Dover House, located at 9201 Burrough-Dover Lane off of Haddonfield Rd., will hold its traditional commemoration of Flag Day. A variety of historic flags will be on display; and guided tours and related festivities will pay tribute to Old Glory and highlight the wide range of banners that symbolize our story as a nation and people. Admission and parking are free.

And don’t forget: both the Burrough-Dover House and Griffith Morgan House, which is located at 243 Griffith Morgan Lane off River Rd., will also be open to the public for an Independence Day celebration on Sunday, July 2 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. What could be more patriotic than a visit to our colonial past?

Both houses will be open for free guided tours and the lovely grounds of both sites are perfect for a picnic and outdoor play. Plenty of free parking is available at both houses.
