Obituary: Kevin Sochanchak, Pennsauken Resident And Volunteer Firefighter

Kevin Sochanchak, longtime resident and volunteer firefighter, passed away on April 9 after a courageous battle with cancer, of Pennsauken. He was 27.
Kevin was the beloved husband of Ashley (nee Wood); loving son of Margaret Sochanchak and the late Eugene R.; and caring brother of Eugene Jr., Rita Buchman, Lisa Fleming, and Lori and Theresa Sochanchak. He was also the proud uncle of nine nieces and nephews.Mr. Sochanchak was employed as a mechanic for Bill’s Truck Service in Delran. Kevin was a volunteer firefighter at Fire Station 5 of the Pennsauken Fire Department. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing local rivers and streams, riding his ATV and motorcycle. Kevin will be remembered for his hard work ethic, his generous soul, wonderful sense of humor and interest in country music.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Life Celebration Tuesday, April 18, 8:00-10:00 a.m. at the Ciechanowski Funeral Home, 1100 N. Black Horse Pike, Runnemede, NJ 08078. Mass of Christian Burial will follow 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 1010 Liberty Street, Camden, NJ 08104. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.
