Serving A Great Community Here In Pennsauken

John-KneibBy John Kneib, Mayor of Pennsauken Township

Once again, I’m honored to be serving as the mayor of Pennsauken for 2016. It’s a real privilege to be the mayor of such a great community. I’d like to thank Rick Taylor for doing a great job as mayor last year; and I’m glad to have his support as our town’s current deputy mayor. I’m excited to work with each member of our Township Committee in order to tackle issues important to our residents and business owners.

Whether in my role as a member of Township Committee, my responsibilities as director of public safety, or just playing golf at the Pennsauken Country Club, I’ve had an opportunity to speak with many of you, listening to your concerns and answering your questions. Pennsauken’s Township Committee works tirelessly to help make our community a great place to work and live. I encourage anyone who has a question about what’s going on in town to reach out to your local government, either by calling the Township’s administrative office, writing a letter, or sending an e-mail. You’ll be able to find a lot of the Township contacts you’re looking for by visiting Pennsauken’s web site at twp.pennsauken.nj.us. Just click on the “What Department Do I Need?” link at the top of the main page, or click on the “Contact Us” button at the bottom left hand corner. Residents can also attend upcoming Township Committee meetings, which are held several times each month. However you reach out to us, your elected officials – as well as our talented and dedicated administrative staff – are here to help all of our residents and business owners.

I’ve also had an opportunity to talk with folks from outside of our town; they say some pretty interesting things about Pennsauken. They say that the people who live here are very genuine and down-to-earth. That they care about their neighbors. And that community is important. Pennsauken is a town that cares; I’m glad to be a part of this community and to serve as a member of Township Committee.

Throughout this year, I look forward to meeting more of the people that make Pennsauken great. And by working together, we can make a great town, filled with great residents and businesses, even better.
