The Pennsauken Lions Club is pleased to announce that Deborah Samuels has been selected as its Citizen of the Year.

Deborah has been involved in Pennsauken community service for over 40 years. She began her career before she graduated from high school. In 1976, she joined the Homestead Youth Association, a civic organization which brings activities to residents who live in the niche community of Pennsauken, Merchantville, and Cherry Hill West, formerly known as the Homestead and Delly sections of town. Deborah continues her support of the organization. For more than 15 years, she has served as the chairperson of the HYA board of directors; and this year marks her 40th year of service.

Lions Accepting Nominations For Citizen Of The Year

The Pennsauken Lions Club is currently accepting nominations for its annual “Citizen of the Year” award. Nominees are individuals who volunteer their time for the betterment of Pennsauken.

Lions Club Hosts Open House, Eye Screenings For Fall

LCI emblem_2C_287+7406The Pennsauken Lions Club will be holding a membership open house at the home of John and Sharon Rush, 1 Frost Dr., Cinnaminson, NJ, on Sunday, Sept. 28.

The Pennsauken Lions Club is open to anyone 18 or older interested in serving their community. Anyone interested in finding out about the Lions is welcome to attend. Cocktails begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. To RSVP, e-mail pennsaukenlionsclub@gmail.com or call (856) 663 4043.
