Toy And Collectible Street Fair On September 16

Play With This Toys & Collectibles presents its annual Toy and Collectible Street Fair on Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Held along West Park Ave. in Merchantville, the event showcases a variety of new and vintage toys, games, and collectibles for sale.

Memorial Day Events To Be Held Throughout Pennsauken

Community events leading up through Memorial Day remember those brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.

Wreath Laying Ceremonies

Several wreath laying ceremonies in observance of those members of the military who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces will be held throughout Memorial Day Weekend in both Pennsauken and Merchantville. The public is encouraged to attend these events.

American Legion Meetings On March 9

F.W. Grigg Post 68 American Legion will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, March 9, 7:00 p.m., at the Merchantville Community Center, 212 Somerset Ave.

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veteran’s organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. With the recent passage of the “Legion Act”, eligibility for membership in the American Legon has been expanded to include those who served honorably during the periods April 6, 1917, to Nov. 11, 1918, and Dec. 7, 1941 to a time later determined by the federal government.

The Post Auxiliary Unit also meets at 7:00 p.m. on the same night and location. Any spouse, whether male or female, of a veteran who is an American Legion member, or the daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, or granddaughter of a veteran are welcome to join.

Registration For Youth Sports Programs Closing Soon

The deadline for spring registration for the Merchantville Pennsauken Little League, 2023 baseball and softball spring season, is Sunday, Feb. 26 at 5:00 p.m. For more information or to register, visit MerchantvilleLittleLeague.org. Certain programs have limited spaces or a waitlist.

The deadline to sign up for co-ed spring intramural soccer with the Pennsauken Youth Soccer Club is Friday, Feb. 24. To register a child, visit PennsaukenSoccer.com. For more information, email pennsaukenyouthsoccerclub@gmail.com.

Celebrate Trails Day Held April 23

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and The Circuit Trails are hosting a free event on Celebrate Trails Day on Saturday, April 23.

Held from noon to 3:00 p.m. at Eclipse Brewing, 25 East Park Ave. in Merchantville, the celebration includes free food for the first 50 attendees, courtesy of Red’s Rolling Restaurant; pony rides; bike tune ups (be sure to bring your bicycle); live music (900 songs by request); an exercise and nutrition class from Movement 4 Wellness; great giveaways; and an opportunity to learn more about the growing Burlington-Camden Trail.

Hosted on the fourth Saturday of April, Celebrate Trails Day is an annual spring celebration of America’s trails. Started by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy in 2013, the celebration encourages people across the country to get outside and enjoy the nation’s exceptional trails and trail systems.

Merchantville Pennsauken Little League Registration Almost Over

The deadline for children in Pennsauken and Merchantville to participate in the spring softball and baseball season is rapidly approaching.

Virtual Public Information Center For Multi-Use Trail Project Held Tonight

Residents are invited to a Virtual Public Information Center for the proposed Pennsauken-Merchantville Multi-Use Trail Project. The purpose is to inform the various stakeholders of the proposed plan for the project.

The format for the Public Information Center will be a brief presentation followed by a period for questions and answers. The public will have an opportunity to review exhibits, ask questions, and discuss any concerns.

Merchantville School Hosts Annual Haunted House

The Merchantville School “Haunted Hotel” returns for two nights of thrills and chills Oct. 18 and 19 at the school, located at 130 S. Centre St. in Merchantville. Pick up “not-so-scary” tickets from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. for a tour designed with the littlest kids in mind. Regular admission available from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for kids age 14 and under. Snacks, glow sticks, and basket raffle tickets are also available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Merchantville School eighth grade graduation.
