Maa’s Furniture Store Opens On Westfield

Pennsauken Mayor John Kneib and members of the Township’s Economic Development Department were on hand for the official ribbon cutting of Maa’s Furniture, located on 5921 Westfield Ave. The store, which opened in early February of this year, offers a wide variety of furniture and bedding.

United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey and The Work Group, along with partners including the Campbell Soup Company, Holman Automotive Group, Investors Bank, Roma Bank, Fulton Bank and the Jewish Community Fund, recently unveiled Thrift Works, an innovative job skills training initiative. The retail venture, located at 3700 Marlton Pike in Pennsauken, will serve as a training center to equip students of The Work Group with valuable, real-life job training and experience – empowering them to build the foundation for lifelong financial stability – while providing an affordable shopping opportunity to the local community.

Ribbon Cutting Held At Pennsauken’s Riverfront Village

On July 1, Pennsauken Mayor Rick Taylor, Township Committeewoman Betsy McBride and other local county and state officials joined Conifer Realty, LLC in cutting the ribbon on the completed Riverfront Village, a brand new apartment community situated along River Rd. The almost $19.5 million project has transformed a former Acme site into 75 high-quality apartments for working class families and veterans.

Restaurant Depot Celebrates Grand Opening Of New Facility
