Township Seeks Input On Pennsauken’s 125th Anniversary

Pennsauken Township is just a few months away from a very big birthday.

On February 18, 2017, our town will turn 125 years old. The Township, in conjunction with the Pennsauken Events Committee, is looking to plan a variety of events next year to mark this special occasion. And the help of residents and businesses are needed to make it happen.

The Township wants to hear about your ideas on how you think we should celebrate the 125th anniversary of Pennsauken. It’s everyone’s celebration. In order to do this properly, it needs to be a collaborative effort from every part of the Pennsauken community.

So if you think we should throw a birthday party with a really big cake, let us know. If you think we should put together a time capsule that won’t be opened until Pennsauken’s 150th anniversary, tell us. If we should invite back some of Pennsauken’s finest, who’ve gone on to win Super Bowls, help land a space rover on Mars, or become a prominent musician, shoot us a line. The only bad idea is the one not shared.

There are three ways to share your ideas:

  1. E-mail your suggestions to aap@twp.pennsauken.nj.us.
  2. Visit the Township’s web site at twp.pennsauken.nj.us and use the online form.
  3. Fill out a paper form, available at both the front desk of the Municipal Building and the circulation department at the Pennsauken Free Public Library.

The deadline for suggestions has been extended to Friday, January 13, 2017. For questions or more information, e-mail aap@twp.pennsauken.nj.us.
