Woman’s Club Holds Second Annual Book Exchange

The Woman’s Club of Merchantville’s Evening Membership Division will host the second annual book exchange on Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8 at the Pennsauken Free Public Library, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd. The exchange will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday and run through 5:00 p.m. on Sunday or until the books run out.

Bring in your gently used books to share with the community, then take home books you have yet to read. Hardcover and paperback books for adults or children, in decent condition, will be accepted. Please do not bring magazines or text books. Any books left over at the end of the exchange will be donated to an appropriate charitable organization.

Spring Meeting Held On May 18

The Woman’s Club of Merchantville will hold their annual spring luncheon on Wednesday, May 18 at the Merchantville Country Club at 12:00 p.m.  Outgoing president Geri Tabako will be honored and the newly elected officers will be installed by Joelle Wentz, the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Club Garden District vice president. Congratulations to new president, Bonnie Haddon; first vice president, Patricia Valenti; second vice president, Jean Davis; third vice president; corresponding secretary, Mary Lenkowski; recording secretary, Dot Venables; arts/creative chairwomen, Geri Tabako and Marleen O’Donnell; arts/performing chairwoman, Johan Hughes; conservation chairwomen, Connie Potenza and Jessie Colsey; and home life chairwomen, Anita Osmian and Lynne Gray.
