CCPD Issues Arrest Warrants In Connection With August 7 Shooting – UPDATED

UPDATED ON 8/18/18: “Tonight with the help of our law enforcement partners and the community we have arrested Juan Figueroa without incident in Gloucester City, NJ.  We continue to close in on Ammar Hall and Alexander Dejesus who are still considered armed and dangerous.  We encourage both suspects to turn themselves in peacefully.  The $60,000 reward remains.   Anyone who has any information about their whereabouts please call us at (856) 757-7042.” – Chief Scott Thomson.

The Camden County Police Department has issued arrest warrants for two individuals wanted in connection with the ambush shooting of two undercover police detectives. These suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

Three Year Old From Pennsauken In Need Of A Kidney Transplant

At first glance, Pennsauken resident Sebastian Foster seems to be an average three-year-old boy. He enjoys playing outside, hanging out with his older siblings, and is completely obsessed with numbers, letters, and reading.

He’s also in dire need of a kidney transplant.

Aluminum Shapes Car Show Moved To September 1 Rain Date

Due to the rain yesterday, Aluminum Shapes’ first car show has moved to the rain date of Saturday, Sept. 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Food, prizes, and striking cars! With games, trophies, and local food trucks, Aluminum Shapes’ first annual Car Show will surely be a great time for the family. Hosted by Aluminum Shapes, LLC, 9000 River Rd. Delair, the event begins at 11:00 a.m. and continues to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1. Public admission is free; there is a $10 entry fee for participating vehicles. All funds raised will be matched by Aluminum Shapes and will benefit Pennsauken Youth Athletic Activities. Autism Benefit Held On August 18

An autism benefit for Pennsauken resident Carly Tobia will be held on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., at AMVET Post 101, 519 June Rd., Delair. The Pennsauken Township Police Department is now hiring Pennsauken residents as school crossing guards.

Interested parties can fill out an application at the Pennsauken Township Municipal Building, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd., Pennsauken, N.J. 01809, during normal business hours.

Summertime Luau Benefits Angel Tree Program, Hurricane Relief

The Pennsauken-Merchantville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its fifth annual luau on Thursday, Aug. 23, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Inglesby and Sons Funeral Home, 2426 Cove Rd. For a $20 donation, participants will enjoy food, drinks, and entertainment, all for two very worthy causes: Pennsauken’s Angel Tree program and the Hurricane Maria Relief Fund.

Mosquito Spraying In Pennsauken On Wedensday

The Camden County Mosquito Commission regularly checks several thousand suspected mosquito breeding sites across the county. Spraying is scheduled on an as needed basis based upon the results of their surveillance efforts.

Property Alliance Holding School Supplies Drive For Baldwin

The Property Alliance, located at 4114 W. Maple Ave., in Pennsauken, is holding a school supplies drive benefiting Baldwin Early Childhood Learning Center.

Now through Aug. 31, individuals can donate gently used or unused school supplies to the Property Alliance’s main office during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The donation wishlist includes crayons, folders, glue, scissors, colored pencils, markers, and construction paper.

FOP Offers $30,000 For Information On Shooting

The NJ State Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge in combination with the local Camden County Metro FOP Lodge 218 will be providing $30,000 for anyone with info leading to the apprehension and conviction of the two suspects involved in the shooting of two Camden County Police Officers.
