Festive Music, Food Trucks, And Fireworks Return With Summer Kickoff Bash

Great music, good food, and the return of fireworks will be the hallmarks of Pennsauken’s 2019 Summer Kickoff Bash. Held from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 at the Pennsauken Community Recreation Complex, located at the corner of Westfield and Bethel avenues, the entire community is invited to take part in this special celebration.
Pennsauken’s Municipal Tax Portion Remains Flat For Seven Years In A Row

Each year, property taxes – based on the assessed value of a resident’s home – are used in a variety of ways in the community. Broken down into several sections, these taxes are used to pay for county services, school funding, trash and recycling collection, and municipal operations. These last two items are the responsibility of Pennsauken Township’s local government; and the town’s administration and the Township Committee have worked on a continual basis to maintain a fiscally responsible budget.
Pennsauken Township Police To Recognize Officers During Annual Awards Ceremony

During National Police Week, an annual event dedicated to not only honor America’s law enforcement community, but also remember those officers that lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others, the Pennsauken Police Department will hold a special awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 15, 7:00 p.m., at the Pennsauken High School auditorium, 800 Hylton Rd., to recognize courageous men and women who go above and beyond to protect and serve the Pennsauken community.
Early Registration Begins For PYAA Football And Cheer
Those interested in registering their children ages 5-14 for PYAA football or cheerleading can save money with early registration. This special in-person registration is held May 6-10, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., at Pennsauken’s turf field, 4250 Burwood Ave. During this time, the cost of registration is $150 for new players; $125 for football players that have their jersey from the 2018 season (the jersey must be brought at the time of registering); and $100 for cheerleading.
Regular registration begins June 1. The cost of registration is $175 for new football players; $175 for returning players without a jersey; and $150 for returning players that have their jersey from the 2018 season (the jersey must be brought at the time of registering). The cost for cheerleading is $130.

On May 3, 2019, at approximately 10:07 p.m., the Pennsauken Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash at the Flying Crust Pizza, located at 7709 Park Ave. When officers arrived, they found a 2018 black Nissan Rogue had left the roadway and collided into the front of the store, causing significant damage to the exterior wall and the interior of the business.
