New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced the ramp from Route 90 eastbound/Betsy Ross Bridge to John Tipton Boulevard/Suckle Highway/Hylton Road will be closed and detoured as a concrete repair project advances in Pennsauken.

Boathouse To Host 2023 NCAA Rowing Championships

The Camden County Boathouse has been chosen to host the 2023 NCAA Divisions I, II, and III Women’s Rowing Championships. The announcement was made on Oct. 14, by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The event is one of five NCAA championships awarded to the Philadelphia region this bid cycle.

PEA PRIDE Committee Presents COVID-Friendly Trunk Or Treat
The Pennsauken Education Association’s PRIDE Committee is presenting a COVID-Friendly Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct. 25. Treat bags will be delivered to Pennsauken families’ homes, beginning at noon that day. Volunteers will be dressing up their cars – and/or themselves – to drop off the treat bags. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes for these deliveries.
Tippin’s Pond Clean Up Held On October 10
In anticipation of the opening of the Delaware Gardens Green Acres renewal project, Pennsauken Township is organizing a community clean up of Tippin’s Pond, 421 Cove Rd. on Saturday Oct. 10, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
Masks and social distancing are required. Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes for outside work. Gloves, trash bags/cans, and clean up tools will be provided by Pennsauken Department of Public Works.

Referendum Projects Continue To Move Forward

On March 13, 2018, Pennsauken residents overwhelmingly voted for a bond referendum proposed by the Pennsauken School District. And in the two years since, significant progress has been made in the projects designed to upgrade school facilities.
“The Pennsauken School District continues to move forward on the referendum projects only made possible by our school families and the Pennsauken community,” said Dr. Ronnie Tarchichi, superintendent of schools, Pennsauken School District. “These improvements are making a positive impact to our school campuses, enhancing the educational experiences of our students.”
Food Distribution For Those In Need
Camden County, in partnership with Touch New Jersey, is hosting a series of food distribution events for those in need. One food distribution will be held at the Pennsauken Community Recreation Complex, 1601 Bethel Ave., on Friday, Oct. 2, at 10:30 a.m.
Drive-up and walk-up options are available. Participants must wear masks and practice social distancing.
