Pennsauken Public Schools Move To Remote Learning

Starting Monday, the Pennsauken School District will close their facilities and begin remote learning.
“After detailed consultation with medical personnel and the local Board of Health about the Coronavirus pandemic, Pennsauken Public Schools will move to remote learning from Monday March 16th to Friday March 27th. We are tentatively scheduled to reopen on Monday, March 30th for a normal school day,” wrote Dr. Ronnie Tarchichi, superintendent of Pennsauken Public Schools. “During these remote learning days, students are to complete the schoolwork labeled ‘Contingency Plan,’ which was distributed Thursday, March 12th.”
According to the letter, all trips, outside events, extracurricular activities, and athletics will be canceled during this time and revisited when school reopens. In addition, District staff will continue the intense cleaning of school facilities during the next two weeks.
“It is important that the school district move to remote learning at this time to contribute to the efforts of decreasing the transmission of this virus throughout the state and country,” added Tarchichi. “We will be monitoring this situation on a daily basis and will evaluate this state of affairs in case the situation worsens or improves.”
