The Pub To Close For Second Summer In A Row

One of South Jersey’s most iconic dining destinations, The Pub Restaurant in Pennsauken, has announced it will temporarily close its doors for the summer. According to a Facebook post on June 16, the restaurant will be closed from Sunday, June 30, through Wednesday, Sept. 18.

This is the second summer in a row that The Pub has closed its doors. Last year, the restaurant shut down for renovations and repairs. While no reason was given for the temporary closure, it does fall roughly in the same time frame as in 2024.

Responses from patrons on social media were a mix of surprise and worry.

“These closures are concerning,” posted Leon Auerbach. “These never happened in the past. Is the long term continuing operation of the Pub in question?”

“UGH! NOOOOOO!!!! I have to go ALL SUMMER without THE best prime rib EVER?!,” added Alison Pettit.

Known for its massive charcoal grill, hearty portions, and distinctive atmosphere, The Pub has long been a local landmark and a destination for visitors across the Delaware Valley.

On the main page of The Pub’s website, interested parties are asked to email thepubnj@comcast.net with any questions or concerns.
