Important Repairs Made On River Road Intersection

Last week, the Camden County Department of Public Works milled and repaved a section of road at the intersection of River Road and Derousse Avenue in Pennsauken after learning the area was in immediate need of repair.

“Addressing concerns like this is a top priority as the safety of our motorists, cyclists and pedestrians is paramount,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “That section of River Road is now freshly paved, making the area safer and a more efficient street to travel on.”

“Camden County is a great partner with Pennsauken,” said Deputy Mayor Patrick Olivo. “Working together, we can tackle projects like this and get important things accomplished that improve our community.”

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges.  They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
