A Time for Giving: AFSCME Collecting Toys for St. Christopher’s Children’s Hospital
By Rey Rivera, President for AFSMCE Local 2278
The Pennsauken Public Works Department and AFSCME Local 2278 would like to welcome everyone to join us in donating for our yearly toy drive. We will be collecting new unwrapped toys for the boys and girls at St. Christopher’s Children’s Hospital. All gifts will be hand delivered by council members of Local 2278 to the St. Christopher’s Pediatric Cancer wing.
The cost for medical care can devastate a family financially. The patients and their families experience Christmas very differently each year and the only gift they wish for is good health and happiness. AFSCME is striving to make the holidays for these families a little brighter by bringing some joy in the form of toys and stuffed animals to each child. We look forward to making everyone’s holiday a bit more special with your help.
For anyone that would like to contribute to the collection we will start November 1st and run until December 9th. You can drop any toy donations to the Pennsauken Public Works Department located at 6725 Wayne Ave., Pennsauken, NJ Monday through Friday from 7am-2:30pm.
From our AFSCME family to yours,
Happy Holidays
