Camden County Holds Apple Pie Contest During Annual Fair
Make the best apple pie in Camden County? Here’s your chance to prove it!
The “I Baked The Best Apple Pie In Camden County Contest!” is open to any amateur baker in Camden County wishing to bake an apple pie. No professional bakers may enter this competition. Only apple pies will be accepted; no crumbles, crisps, Betty’s, or pan dowdy’s allowed. No added fruit; juice is okay. Winning pies and bakers will receive ribbons, Camden County swag, and the blue ribbon winner will receive a Visa gift card.
Registration is open through Monday, Sept. 18. Pies must be dropped off by 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Camden County Welcome Tent at the Camden County Fair, 508 Lakeland Rd., Blackwood. The annual fair, presented by the Board of Camden County Freeholders, is held Sept. 23-24; open to the public, the event features face painting, pony rides, hay rides, music performances, and more.
