Car And Bike Show, Harvest Festival Return To Pennsauken
By Frank Sinatra, AAP Editor
Two popular fall events are making their return to the Township: Pennsauken’s Car and Bike Show, held on Sunday, Sept. 19, and the Pennsauken Harvest Festival, held on Saturday, Oct. 16.
“Both our Car and Bike Show and Harvest Festival are great ways for families to get outdoors and celebrate what makes our community special,” said Pennsauken Mayor Marco DiBattista. “We’re excited that we’re able to hold these events again, and we invite our neighbors to join us.”
Car And Bike Show On September 19
Pennsauken’s annual Car and Bike Show will be held on Sunday, Sept. 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hundreds of classic cars and bikes will be on display along part of the “Maple Mile,” starting at Pinsetter Bar and Bowl, the co-sponsor of the event located at 7111 Maple Ave., and extending towards Union Ave.
There will be 22 judging classes for cars, from Stock Production to 1953 to All New Cars, 2013 to Present, as well as nine judging classes for motorcycles, from Full Dresser to Antique Bikes.
As attendees stroll the show, viewing the many cars and bikes on display, they can also enjoy a variety of other activities. Food trucks will be on hand offering a variety of fare available for purchase. The Kids Zone will also be returning to the Car and Bike Show, with inflatables and balloon twisting for younger attendees. DJs will be playing classics and popular music throughout the event.
Each year, every effort is made to reduce the impact on the neighborhoods along Maple Ave. and adjoining streets. Residents will have access to major throughways and can get in and out of the area during the event.
“Whether you’re a car or motorcycle enthusiast or looking for a fun time out with your family, Pennsauken’s Car and Bike Show is a great opportunity to enjoy a great activity,” explains Elwood Martz, director of municipal services and head of the town’s Department of Parks and Recreation. “We’re thrilled to be able to welcome back our longtime participants and hope to see a lot of new faces as well.”
The form to register a vehicle for this year’s show can be downloaded from the Township’s website at http://www.twp.pennsauken.nj.us/content/pennsauken-car-and-bike-show. Registration on the day of the show is held from 10:00 a.m. to noon; at that time, fees are $15 for cars $8 for bikes.
In case of inclement weather, the rain date for the Car, Bike and Craft Show is Sunday, Sept. 26.

Harvest Festival On October 16
Pennsauken Township, in association with the Pennsauken Firefighters Association, will host the seventh annual Pennsauken Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 16 (rain date Sunday, Oct. 17). This annual event, held from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Pennsauken Community Recreation Complex on Westfield Ave., brings the Township community together with a family-friendly atmosphere.
“We’re working on making the comeback of Pennsauken’s Harvest Festival the best one yet,” explains Mayor DiBattista. “We’ll have more to share in the coming weeks. Residents will definitely not want to miss this event.”
Held in conjunction with Fire Prevention Month, a time of year to focus on promoting the importance of fire safety in the community, the Pennsauken Fire Department will hold several demonstrations, including rappelling, a car extraction, and more.
Crafters, businesses, and community groups are invited to join the Harvest Festival as a vendor. For details, visit http://www.twp.pennsauken.nj.us/content/harvest-festival-2021 or call (856) 665-1000 x104.
