Post Storm Township-Wide Cleanup Continues

Fortunately, the quick, powerful and destructive storm of June 23 was not one that our town witnesses on a regular basis. From power lines arcing against and setting trees on fire in Collins Tract, to sidewalks being uprooted all over town, the Pennsauken Department of Public Works has been working all over town to deal with the storm’s aftermath.

Like many of our neighbors going through this transition from tube to flat, you’re ready to ask the strongest person you know to help wrestle the awkward and monster-sized tube TV out of your home. STOP! DO NOT PUT THE TV AT THE CURB! Waste Management, your trash collector, WILL NOT take that TVs or other electronics.

Articles for All Around Pennsauken are submitted approximately three weeks prior to the publication date. It is difficult to predict what the weather will be that far ahead. Heck, many times the weather people can’t get it right a few days in advance!

That being said, two things are certain. We know that leaves will fall. We also know that winter follows fall.

Dealing With Downed Trees In Pennsauken Township

Trees are an important part of our environment. They produce the oxygen we breathe. They provide cool shade from the hot summer sun. For many, they are a source of winter heat. We build our homes with lumber from trees. Chances are, at least part of the paper you are reading is made from trees.
