Saint Cecilia’s Little Angels Receives New Playground Through Generous Donation

Last week, representatives from P.J. Whelihan’s Restaurant Group, staff from Saint Cecilia’s Little Angels, and parish officials were joined by members of Pennsauken Township Committee for the ribbon cutting of a brand new playground at the preschool and daycare center located on Camden Ave.

First Four Graduating Classes Of PHS To Hold Joint Reunion

The first four graduating classes of Pennsauken High School (1962-1965) are holding a joint reunion. This year’s event celebrates the 55th anniversary of the Class of ’63, whose members comprised the first class to be  educated all four years in the new Pennsauken High School.

A DJ dinner-dance will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m., at the Crown Plaza Hotel, 2349 W. Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill, N.J. Tickets are $75. Aluminum Shapes Car Show Moved To September 1 Rain Date

Due to the rain yesterday, Aluminum Shapes’ first car show has moved to the rain date of Saturday, Sept. 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Food, prizes, and striking cars! With games, trophies, and local food trucks, Aluminum Shapes’ first annual Car Show will surely be a great time for the family. Hosted by Aluminum Shapes, LLC, 9000 River Rd. Delair, the event begins at 11:00 a.m. and continues to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1. Public admission is free; there is a $10 entry fee for participating vehicles. All funds raised will be matched by Aluminum Shapes and will benefit Pennsauken Youth Athletic Activities. Autism Benefit Held On August 18

An autism benefit for Pennsauken resident Carly Tobia will be held on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., at AMVET Post 101, 519 June Rd., Delair. Soldiers Of The American Revolution March In Pennsauken At Griffith Morgan House

Revolutionary War re-enactors will muster at Pennsauken’s historic Griffith Morgan House on Aug. 5.

Citizen-soldiers of the Revolutionary War on the march will pause to greet visitors and enlist recruits young and old at historic Griffith Morgan House in Pennsauken on Sunday, Aug. 5 from noon to 4:00 p.m.

Fresh from its recent encampment at the National Constitution Center and the fight at the Battle of Monmouth, the 11th Pennsylvania Regiment of the American Revolution, along with other comrades in arms, return to Pennsauken’s Griffith Morgan House to share their deep knowledge of nation’s founding conflict with visitors. Guests can learn of the sacrifices of the farmers and townspeople who took up arms and can join in the training drills as new recruits themselves. Meanwhile, the ladies supporting the regiment will show how hearty food could be prepared in warm weather months without need of a fire.

Pennsauken will be holding its first-ever town wide yard sale on Saturday, Sept. 29. Running from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the event, which will occur rain or shine, is a great opportunity for residents to clean out their homes while making some cash in the process.

Antique Fire Apparatus Show Held On August 4 At Cooper River Park

The Cradle of Liberty Antique Fire Apparatus Association (CLAFAA) will be hosting an antique fire apparatus muster on Saturday, Aug. 4, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Cooper River Park, 5300 N. Park Drive, Pennsauken.
