Pennsauken High’s Double Dozen Presents “Tribute To America” On October 18
Pennsauken High School’s Double Dozen presents “A Tribute to America,” Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 7:00 p.m.
“Filled with great, patriotic songs, this performance will be a beautiful celebration of our country,” says Kate Brown, vocal music director at Pennsauken High School. “This is something that you will not want to miss.”
“A Tribute to America” is held at Pennsauken High School, located at 800 Hylton Rd. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors. Past and present servicemen and women gain free admission with their military I.D. For more information, call (856) 662-8500 x5273.
“Touch-A-Truck” Event Held On October 29
The Pennsauken School District is hosting a free “Touch-A-Truck” event on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Pennsauken Intermediate School and Howard M. Phifer Middle School on Park Ave.
Free to the public, this event offers children of all ages a hands-on opportunity to explore various vehicles, including dump trucks, fire engines, police motorcycles, and more. In addition to the many trucks children can explore, there will be snacks offered from area vendors and family entertainment.

Haunted Hay Ride And “Bite Night” Held On October 26
“Back The Blue” Jeep Ride Held On October 15
A community event planned for this Saturday is designed to be a show of support to local law enforcement.
The “Back the Blue” Jeep Ride will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15; to date, approximately 70 jeep owners will gather at the Cherry Hill Mall and then travel to the police stations in several communities to thank officers for their dedicated service.
Trunk Or Treat Event Held On October 30
The Rising Community Fellowship, located at 3465 Haddonfield Rd., Pennsauken, is hosting its first-ever trunk or treat event on Sunday, Oct. 30 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
PHS Class Of 2006 Holds Ten Year Reunion
Pennsauken High School’s Class of 2006 will be holding its ten year reunion on Friday, Nov. 25, 7:00 to 11:00 p.m., at the Mansion on Main Street in Voorhees, N.J. Tickets are $80 a person and $150 a couple and include entrance to the event, dinner, and an open bar. All tickets must be bought by Nov.6. No tickets will be sold at the door. Stamp Exhibition Begins October 22
The Friends of the Pennsauken Free Public Library and the Merchantville Stamp Club are hosting the second annual “Knowledge Through Books And Stamps” Exhibition from Oct. 22-28 in the Community Room at the Pennsauken Library, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd. Held during Library hours, the showcase features a variety of stamp exhibits on display. Attendees can vote for their favorite exhibit and get a chance to win a door prize. Formal opening ceremonies will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 11:30 a.m., to be followed immediately with pizza and hoagies.
Pregnancy And Infant Loss Remembrance Day Held On October 15
The fifth annual Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day Ceremony will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, 5:00 p.m. at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken. Come out to remember, honor and support pregnancy and infant loss. The ceremony consists of a balloon release (please bring a pink or blue balloon), “Wave of Lights,” reading of names, dinner, and more. Not only is this a great way to remember your baby/babies, but also meet other local families who have been faced with this loss. Toy And Collectible Street Fair Moved To Rain Date Of October 15
Play With This Toys & Collectibles and Merchantville Public Events are hosting a toy and collectible street fair on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Held along West Park Ave. in Merchantville, adjacent to the Borough Hall, the event showcases a variety of new and vintage toys, games, and collectibles for sale.
In addition, the toy and collectable street fair features food, special appearances from some superhero favorites, raffles and more. Attendees are also asked to bring non-perishable food items for the Food Bank of South Jersey. For every food item donated, individuals will receive one raffle ticket.
“We really hope folks come out for this great event,” says Scott Talas, owner of Play With This Toys & Collectibles. “Not only is it going to be a lot of fun, but we’re also helping out a great organization, the Food Bank of South Jersey.”
