Remembering Dr. Earl Rippie, Jr., Owner Of Pennsauken Animal Hospital
Dr. Earl H. Rippie, Jr., 74, owner and director of the Pennsauken Animal Hospital, passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2016. A staple of the community since he opened his practice in Pennsauken 45 years ago, Dr. Rippie was known for his warm, engaging personality.
Pennsauken Holds First-Ever Food Truck Event
Pennsauken’s Bite Night is the Township’s first-ever food truck event. Scheduled for both Thursday, Aug. 18 and Thursday, Sept. 15, the event, which runs from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Pennsauken Township Municipal Complex, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd., will feature a variety of mobile food purveyors.
Over a dozen food trucks are slated to attend both Bite Nights, including Bro Ritos, Cooper River Lunch and Munch, and Beast of the Street.

Christmas In July Luau Supports Angel Tree Program
The Pennsauken-Merchantville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Christmas in July Luau on Thursday, July 28, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Inglesby and Sons Funeral Home, 2426 Cove Rd. For a $20 donation, participants will enjoy food, drinks, and entertainment.
Proceeds from the luau benefits Pennsauken’s Angel Tree program, which collects new, unwrapped toys for families in need. Last year, over 30 Pennsauken families were helped during the holidays thanks to donations to the Angel Tree.

Open House Of Historic Home Held On July 3
The Historic Burrough-Dover House, 9201 Burrough-Dover Ln., will hold an open house on Sunday, July 3 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. The 305-year-old home will be open for tours. Admission and parking is free. PYAA Soccer Holds Player Registration
PYAA Soccer is holding its only in-person registration on Saturday, June 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the PYAA Fieldhouse, located at Marian and Elm avenues. You can download the registration from by clicking here.
Summer Open Play
Beginning on Tuesday, July 5, and running every Tuesday in July from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., players from 7‐13 years old will be separated into teams and play scrimmage soccer against each other. Instructions and guidance will be given throughout the night. Scrimmages are open to Merchantville and Pennsauken residents only. Forms must be received by July 5. To download the form, click here.
Philadelphia Union Day In Pennsauken
The Philadelphia Union Major League Soccer Club and PYAA Soccer Club have rescheduled their Union Day Event to Sunday, July 10.
The Philadelphia Union Day is open to children in the South Jersey area. The day will include inflatables and fun games, as well as a free youth soccer clinic for any interested child ages six to 13. There are two time slots available: 3:00-4:30 p.m. and 5:00-6:30 p.m.
All players must be registered, so please fill out the form – located at http://www.philadelphiaunion.com/fans/union-day-pennsauken – for each participating child. Please note that any participating child must bring their own soccer equipment and soccer ball to the clinic.
In addition to filling out this registration form, you will need to sign a waiver upon arrival at the clinic. All waivers must be signed by the parent or guardian, age 18 or older, of the registered child. Please print out and complete the waiver and bring to the clinic.
