Pennsauken’s Annual Fall Festival On October 15

Pennsauken Township, in association with the Pennsauken Firefighters Association, will host its Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 15 (rain date Sunday, Oct. 16). This annual event, held from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Pennsauken Community Recreation Complex on Westfield Ave., brings the Township community together with a family-friendly atmosphere.

The ninth annual Merchantville Music Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the Merchantville Downtown Parking Area.
Dad Vail Regatta To Be Held On Cooper River
In May 2023, the 84th Annual Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta will be held on the Cooper River, moving from its typical venue at the Schuylkill River National Racecourse. Cooper River Park in Pennsauken is home to many prestigious rowing events and boasts a world-class, Olympic-distance, 2000-meter narrow and sheltered straightaway.
Pennsauken Fall Clean-Up Day Held October 1
The Pennsauken Environmental Commission and the Township’s Parks and Recreation Department will be holding a fall clean-up day on Saturday, Oct. 1. Held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., volunteers will be split between two locations: the Boat Ramp at Derousse Ave., and the Pennsauken Creek area by the Pennsauken Country Club.
Community Invited To Car And Bike Show, Fall Festival

The Pennsauken community is invited to attend two popular public events: the Car and Bike Show, held on Sunday, Sept. 18, and the town’s Fall Festival, on Saturday, Oct. 15.
“In the next few weeks, we have not one, but two public events that are wonderful opportunities to get outdoors and enjoy a great time with our neighbors,” said Pennsauken Mayor Jessica Rafeh. “We can’t wait to see everyone there!”
Facebook Live Event With Pennsauken’s Mayor, Deputy Mayor Held September 21
After a successful live stream last May, Pennsauken Mayor Jessica Rafeh and Deputy Mayor Nicole Roberts will be hosting a second Facebook Live Q&A session on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 7:00 p.m. Available for viewing on Facebook @PennsaukenTwp, the two Committee members will once again provide updates on what’s happening in town, as well as answer questions directly from residents.
Pennsauken To Hold Annual 9/11 Flag Placement Ceremony
Each year, American flags are placed throughout Pennsauken’s 9/11 Memorial, located at the corner of Merchantville Ave. and Rt. 130, across the street from the Township’s Municipal Building and the Pennsauken Free Public Library.
Volunteers are needed to help distribute the flags on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 11:45 p.m. and remove them on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 11:45 p.m. Those wishing to participate on either day are asked to arrive by 11:40 p.m.
Pennsauken’s monument was first dedicated on September 11, 2003, as a tribute to the heroes of 9/11 and the dedicated direct responders — police, fire and EMS — who serve every day to protect residents and businesses in the communities where they live. In remembrance of the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, a steel beam from the World Trade Center North Tower was dedicated as a permanent part of the memorial.
