District To Hold Town Meetings At Pennsauken High School

The Pennsauken School District has two “town hall” style meetings planned to highlight programs available at Pennsauken Public Schools.

Superintendent’s Town Hall Held On March 14

The Pennsauken School District is hosting a Superintendent’s Town Hall on Thursday, March 14, 7:00 p.m. in the Pennsauken High School Auditorium, 800 Hylton Rd.

Pennsauken School Superintendent Dr. Ronnie Tarchichi will discuss a variety of topics designed to mold the future of Pennsauken Public Schools.

Members of the community and our school families are invited to attend.

Double Dozen Performs “Tribute To Rock” Tonight

This evening, Pennsauken High School’s Double Dozen presents their annual tribute concert highlighting the best of rock and roll.

The performance is held at Pennsauken High School, 800 Hylton Rd., and begins at 7:00 p.m.

General admission is just $5.

Pennsauken High School Performs “Godspell” For Spring Musical

Pennsauken High School is excited to announce their performances of the musical, “Godspell,” held April 4-7. This iconic musical, which highlights parables taken from the Bible, has been a long running success both on and off of Broadway.

Community Invited To Lunar New Year Celebration On February 6

Pennsauken High School’s Asian Students Association is sponsoring its second annual Lunar New Year Celebration on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., in the main cafeteria of the high school, 800 Hylton Rd.

The local community is invited to an evening of free food, entertainment, and prizes.

Reorganization Meetings Held For Municipal Government, School Board

On Jan. 4, Pennsauken’s Township Committee gathered for its reorganization meeting, setting up the municipal government for 2019. Held at the Pennsauken Country Club, the agenda included the swearing in of the town’s mayor, deputy mayor, and new committee members, as well as appointing individuals and contractors to various professional positions.

Teachers’ Choice Awards Held On January 22

Teachers throughout the Pennsauken School District have selected students to be honored at the “Teachers’ Choice Awards,” a special event held on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 6:30 p.m., at Pennsauken High School, 800 Hylton Rd. These students show one or more of the following “Medal of Honor” core values: commitment, courage, integrity, patriotism, citizenship, or sacrifice.

The Pennsauken School District is inviting the local community to this event to help celebrate these students’ accomplishments.

Pennsauken Education Association Hosts Event For MLK Day Of Service

On Monday, Jan. 21, the Pennsauken Education Association (PEA) will host its first Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Service event for the Pennsauken Community. The National MLK Day of Service is intended to empower individuals, strengthen communities, bridge barriers, create solutions to social problems, and move us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a “Beloved Community.”

Pennsauken School District Tests Gym Mats For Mercury, Levels Well Within Safe Limits

Earlier today, the Pennsauken School District sent students home with a letter stating the rubberized gym mats in several schools were proactively tested to identify if they had unsafe levels of Mercury.
