Chestnut Avenue In Pennsauken To Close For Storm Sewer Replacement
Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by Pennsauken Township that crews will be replacing a storm sewer on Chestnut Avenue at West Hollywood Circle in Pennsauken beginning Wednesday, June 26. The project will require the full closure of the roadway during work hours.
“Motorists driving through the area can expect additional traffic, sudden stops and possible congestion while crews are at work. As with any closure, it’s important for motorists to plan their commute with potential travel delays in mind,” Shin Angulo said. “Any time you are driving in the area of construction crews, it is paramount that you be alert for construction vehicles, crew members, and equipment in the roadway.”
Beginning Wednesday, crews will close Chestnut Avenue between Merchantville Avenue and East Hollywood Circle from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The project is expected to be completed by Tuesday, July 2. Motorists will be directed to utilize a posted detour route.
This project is expected to be completed on Tuesday, July 2, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Scheduling and project timing is also dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
