Mayor Nicole Roberts and Deputy Mayor Jessica Rafeh recently welcomed Comet’s Canine Care to 3002 N. Centre St. in Pennsauken during the business’ official ribbon cutting.

“The deputy mayor and I are so excited to be here for the grand opening of Comet’s Canine Care,” said Pennsauken Mayor Nicole Roberts. “We’re thrilled to welcome another business to town.”

Owners, husband and wife team, and Township residents Alex Reyes and Zamarin Marlin have taken over the space formally occupied by Show Dog Grooming and are excited to take care of your pet’s grooming needs.

“We do it all, from baths, full grooms, trims, nail clips, teeth brushing, and more,” explained Alex. “You can expect nothing but excellent service.”

Head groomer Zamarin has been trained at the Grooming School of Pennsylvania, the only grooming school in Southeastern Pennsylvania licensed by the Department of Education. She was inspired to take on the career based on her experience with Comet, the couple’s five-year-old cavapoo who needs to be groomed at least once a month.

“Comet doesn’t like to be groomed, and I’ve had groomers turn him down because he’s a little difficult,” said Zamarin. “I found it was easier just do it myself. It turned into a career.”

Comet’s Canine Care is open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but service times for their furry clients are all appointment based. The business also accepts a variety of payment options, including Cash App, Venmo, and Zelle.

“After going to Comet’s Canine Care for the ribbon cutting, I brought my own dog here, said Deputy Mayor Jessica Rafeh. “Alex and Zamarin did a great job.”

“Comet’s Canine Care is happy to cover all your pet grooming needs,” said Mayor Roberts. “Please come down and see them.”
