In partnership with the Obsidian Charitable Foundation (OCF), Delair Elementary School was thrilled to spread some cheer in December by blessing 30 families with a festive holiday dinner. Families gathered at Delair to receive a delicious roasted chicken, that they could prepare at home, and all the holiday fixings!
We were especially delighted to welcome Township Committeewoman Nicole Roberts, who was Pennsauken’s mayor in 2025, as part of this heartwarming effort, joining us as a member of the charitable group to help make the season brighter for our Delair community.

“In December, I volunteered with the board members of my favorite non-profit, the Obsidian Charitable Foundation, to help them deliver holiday baskets of food to Delair Elementary for needy families,” said Committeewoman Roberts. “I have been working with and volunteering for OCF for almost five years now. They are an incredible organization, and I wanted to make sure that their hard work and generosity are shared with our community.”
The Obsidian Charitable Foundation assists underserved communities with education and financial opportunities to excel. There is an opportunity gap in underserved communities. When the potential that lies within the student or professional is met with networking capabilities, mentorship, as well as financial and educational opportunities, those individuals and communities will excel. OCF fills the void by offering just that – fostering partnerships, and developing programing and grants designed to enrich and develop our future leaders.
