Eighteen-Year-Old Charged In Pennsauken Homicide

An 18-year-old has been charged with fatally shooting a man outside a Pennsauken grocery store, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Pennsauken Police Chief John Nettleton.
Tsai Davis, 18, of Pennsauken, is charged with one count of first-degree Murder, one count of second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and one count of second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
Police responded to the 4700 block of Westfield Ave. in Pennsauken on Sept. 16 around 5 p.m. for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Dexter Threadgill, 35, of Pennsauken, outside a grocery store with multiple gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
Through the investigation, detectives located surveillance footage that captured the shooting. Davis was identified as the shooter, according to police.
He was arrested on Oct. 15 by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division. The Lower Camden County Regional Special Response Team, Pine Hill Police Department, and Merchantville Police Department assisted in the investigation.
Davis was transported to the Camden County Correctional Facility and is awaiting a detention hearing.
All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
