Music, food, and fireworks will be once again enjoyed by residents at Pennsauken Township’s Summer Kick Off celebration. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, June 8, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the Pennsauken Community Recreation Complex, located at Westfield and Bethel avenues.
This year’s Summer Kick Off features a variety of family entertainment, including bounce houses, a video game truck, face painting, and balloon twisting; several food trucks on site; a DJ playing popular music; and more. Vehicles from our town’s first responders will be on display for kids to explore. And residents are encouraged to grab a blanket or folding chair to enjoy the evening’s impressive fireworks finale.
“We’re excited to be able to celebrate the start of summer with this great annual event,” said Pennsauken Mayor Marco DiBattista. “We hope that our residents join us for a fun evening.”
Residents will be able to park around the area of the Pennsauken Community Recreation Complex for the Summer Kick Off. Officers from the Pennsauken Township Police Department will help to direct traffic, and the Pennsauken Fire Department and its EMS division will also be on site. The rain date for the event is Sunday, June 9, at the same time and location.
