New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced additional closures via social media in response to the outbreak of COVID-19.
“I am ordering, effective 8 p.m. tonight, the closure of all personal-care businesses and social clubs, which cannot comply with social distancing guidelines,” said Governor Murphy.
The governor gave examples of several businesses that fall under the personal-care category, including barber shops, hair salons, spas, nail and eyelash salons, and tattoo parlors.
