Haunted Hay Ride, Movie Marathon, Highlight Halloween Celebrations
This year’s Youth Action Committee Haunted Hay Ride will be held from 6:15 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at the softball field behind the Pennsauken Police Administration Building at Rt. 130 and Bethel Ave. Live ghosts, ghouls, goblins and the walking dead will greet you as you ride around in a hay wagon pulled by a tractor. It’s scary fun for the whole family. The cost is $1.50 per person. For more information, call 856-665-1000 x151.
The Friends of the Free Public Library are also helping residents get into the Halloween spirit by hosting a special late night horror movie marathon on Saturday, Nov. 1 beginning at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Hosted at the Pennsauken Free Public Library, attendees will enjoy several cult movie classics: “The Little Shop of Horrors,” “The House on Haunted Hill,” and the original “Night of the Living Dead.” Soda and water are available for $1 apiece. Popcorn is also $1, but the first bag is free for attendees in costume. Admission is $5 per person and all proceeds benefit Library programs. For more information, e-mail FriendsofLibrary@yahoo.com.
