High school juniors and seniors are eligible to apply for one of three $1,000 scholarships offered by the New Jersey State League of Municipalities (NJSLOM).
“This year, this statewide scholarship competition centers on the theme of ‘How has local government played a role in your life regarding the ongoing pandemic?’ and seeks to advance the virtues of elected and volunteer members of municipal government,” wrote Pennsauken Mayor Marco DiBattista in a letter to students. “This scholarship competition not only encourages our future municipal leaders but highlights joint efforts of everyone in the Pennsauken community.”
The deadline for submitting the application and essay to the Mayor’s Office is Friday, April 2.
