Last Chance To Register For Town Wide Yard Sale

By Frank Sinatra, AAP Editor

Time is running out to register for Pennsauken’s first-ever town wide yard sale, Saturday, Sept. 29. Running from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the event, which will occur rain or shine, is a great opportunity for residents to clean out their homes while making some cash in the process.

“We encourage residents to clean out their closets, basements, and attics and take part on our community’s first town wide yard sale,” says Pennsauken Mayor Jack Killion. “This yard sale is a wonderful chance to hunt for some great bargains while visiting different parts of our town.”

Sign up for the town wide yard sale occurs at the Pennsauken Township Municipal Building, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd., during normal business hours. The donation per household is $15. Participating homes will need to fill out a simple form available in the Clerk’s Office; these addresses will be inputted into a customized, printable Google map, which will be made available just prior to the yard sale at the Pennsauken Township Municipal Building, the Pennsauken Free Public Library, Pinsetter Bar and Bowl, 7111 Maple Ave.; Meadowbrook Farmer’s Market, 3008 Union Ave.; Macaro’s Deli, 6225 Westfield Ave.; and La Cocina Latín Cuisine, 5010 Westfield Ave. The map will also be available online at the Township’s website, twp.pennsauken.nj.us, as well as AllAroundPennsauken.com. During the week prior to the yard sale, participating residents – those who donated $15 – can pick up a yard sign, balloons, and map.

The deadline for registering is Friday, September 7, 2018. Checks can be made out to Pennsauken Township, with “Town Wide Yard Sale” written in the memo section. Any proceeds made from yard sale participants who register their properties will go to support Pennsauken Township community events.
