Little Angels Story Book Fun Fair Held On April 25

Put a big red circle on your calendars for Saturday, April 25! That very special day marks the annual Story Book Fun Fair at St. Cecilia’s Little Angels Day Care and Pre-School. This is the day care’s largest happening of the year, as it celebrates the culmination of the “Month of the Young Child.”

Since 1971, the National Association for the Education of Young Children has sponsored the “Week of the Young Child,” an opportunity to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. In 1985, it expanded its celebration to the entire month of April. And Little Angels is so proud to be a part of it all.

One of the most important things we can do for our young ones is to engage them in the joys of early learning and early literacy. And this year, Little Angels is promoting literacy by featuring fairy tales and wonderful stories to touch the hearts and minds of children and parents alike! They will even have a very extraordinary princess and a snowman as their special guests! You won’t want to miss out on that!

LittleAngelsLittle Angels will also host a very unique author with his own special way to look at our world. Many of our local school children are familiar with his books, but few have actually met him in person. His name is “Mookie” and he’s a darling tabby cat whose owner also happens to be an author. Judith Kristen comes to the Fun Fair along with Mookie; she will read his “Mookie and the Rescued Cat” to the children. And a Mookie book will be given to each child … autographed by Ms. Kristen and “pawtographed” by Mookie himself.

And they don’t call it a FUN Fair for nothing! A huge moon bounce will be set up for the children to enjoy and play on with their friends. There will also be numerous fun and delightful games for the kids to play; an amazingly talented and entertaining balloon artist; and for your musical pleasure, a fabulously groovy DJ – so don’t forget your dancing shoes! There will be many other fun and exciting activities at the Fun Fair, along with lots and lots of wonderful books to read. And, on top of all that goodness, food trucks, with healthy, as well as yummy snacks, desserts, and drinks, will be available to everybody.

Camden Ave., the street in front of St. Cecilia’s, will be cordoned off for every participant’s safety. So, please remember that date! Saturday, April 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come One! Come All!

St. Cecilia’s is located at 4800 Camden Ave., right in the heart of Pennsauken. For further information about their Story Book Fun Fair, please call Little Angels Day Care and Pre-School at (856) 662-9228.
