Male Juvenile Arrested, Charged In Pennsauken Shooting

A male juvenile was arrested yesterday and charged with Attempted Murder and weapons related charges in connection to the shooting of an 18-year-old man, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Pennsauken Police Acting Chief Phil Olivo.
On Thursday, May 26, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes unit and Pennsauken Police responded to a shooting that occurred in the area of the 4700 block of Westfield Ave., Pennsauken. The victim of the shooting, an 18-year-old man was struck on his hand and transported to Cooper University Hospital for treatment.
Approximately two hours after the shooting, further investigation by the Pennsauken Police Patrol Units and Detectives led to the apprehension of the juvenile suspect in Pennsauken. At the time of the juvenile’s arrest, police located an untraceable firearm or “ghost gun” with an extended magazine. The juvenile suspect is currently lodged in the Camden County Juvenile Detention Center.
