A man wanted in the fatal shooting of a Pennsauken woman on Jan. 9 has been apprehended, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Pennsauken Police Chief Philip Olivo.
Joshua Johnson, 18, of Camden was captured in Newark, N.J. on Jan. 12 by the U.S. Marshals Regional Task Force. He has been charged with First Degree Murder and other offenses in the death of 62-year-old Darlene Randall in Pennsauken Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the 3700 block of Herbert Avenue at approximately 1:52 a.m. for reports of a home invasion. Upon arrival, they located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. She succumbed to her injuries a short time later at the hospital.
Johnson was transferred to Camden County where he was processed on the above charges and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing before the Court.
All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
