Man Charged In Pennsauken Homicide

Esteban Cabrera, 30, of Pennsauken, was charged with killing a woman in Pennsauken yesterday, August 10, 2019.
Pennsauken Police responded to the 3700 block of Burwood Ave. in Pennsauken in reference to a 911 call received at approximately 11:07 p.m. regarding a woman who appeared to be deceased. When police arrived, officers located the victim, Juanita Rosario, 74, of Pennsauken, unconscious on a bed inside of the residence. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The Gloucester-Camden-Salem County Medical Examiner ruled her cause of death to be general asphyxia and manner of death to be a homicide.
Esteban Cabrera was charged with one count of First-Degree Murder on August 11, 2019, according to the Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Pennsauken Township Police Chief John Nettleton.
Cabrera was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a pretrial detention hearing. At this hearing, the court may order he be detained or released under Criminal Justice Reform.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
