In celebration of the organization’s 120th anniversary, the Woman’s Club of Merchantville will be hosting a special guest day on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 12:00 p.m. at the Merchantville Community Center, 212 Somerset Ave., Merchantville, NJ.
The program will feature a brief history of the Merchantville Woman’s Club and its impact on our local community over the past 120 years. The presentation will be accompanied by a showing of vintage clothing representing the evolution of women’s fashions from 1894 to 2014. The beautiful clothing shown will be provided by Rebecca’s Vintage Boutique & Consignment Shop, located in the historic town of Bordentown, NJ. Light refreshments will be served.

Local Authors Night
The Merchantville Woman’s Club Evening Membership Department is sponsoring a Local Authors Night on Thursday, Nov. 19, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Merchantville Community Center. In an effort to promote local talent, six authors from our area will speak on their experiences in writing and publishing, their books and their inspiration. Come out and meet: historical romance novelist Terri Brisbin; mystery writer Ilene Schneider; Paul Stridick, speaking on behalf of his wife, essayist and poet Janice Wilson Stridick; children’s author Traci Dunham; non-fiction writer Patty Sheey; and Courier-Post reporter and author of a historical book on the Battleship New Jersey, Carol Comegno.
