“Real-life” mermaids dive among the largest collection of sharks in the Northeast.

Ocean enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their imaginations to life and embrace the magic of the Mer-World at Adventure Aquarium now through March 17 (Thursday-Sunday only) as “real-life” mermaids dive deep among its collection of sandbar, sand tiger and nurse sharks.

During this fan-favorite festival, Adventure Aquarium will offer guests the chance to make memories as they interact and take photos with mermaids underwater and above the surface.

During the Mermaids Festival, guests will be able to enjoy these special features:

MERMAIDS UNDERWATER EXPERIENCE

See mermaids diving deep in Adventure Aquarium’s Shark Realm exhibit, which is home to a collection of sandbar, sand tiger, and nurse sharks. Guests can interact and take photos with mermaids in front of a movie-screen-sized window and enjoy fin-tastic views of the 550,000-gallon exhibit. This year, the Aquarium is doing away with timed tickets, offering an open format experience where guests can freely roam the exhibit space as they enjoy this underwater experience.

MERMAID BEACH CLUB

Stingray Beach Club is getting a mermaid makeover! Stop by to see a mermaid wading above the surface amongst cownose and southern stingrays as she sings and blows kisses to visitors.

MERMAID MEET & GREET

Step into the Mermaids’ manor to meet a mermaid up close as she sits on her clamshell throne. Don’t forget to capture the mer-moment with a professional photo keepsake!

Guests can save time and money by pre-purchasing a digital photo card that includes all photos taken during their visit. Guests can also purchase a digital photo card on-site the day of their visit.

LATEST ATTRACTION! While visiting, guests are encouraged to check out the Aquarium’s newest augmented reality experience, the Imagination Sand Station. This multi-sensory experience is an engaging and unique way for kids to learn about the earth, geography, and science through hands-on exploration. You may even see the animals that call each of these environments home!

During the Mermaids Festival, Adventure Aquarium will host extended hours on Saturdays (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.) and Sundays (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.).
