New Club Is A Fun Way For Students To Try Out Sports
By Mr. Adamson, Physical Education Teacher, Phifer Middle School
The “Phifer’s Phittest” club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 4:00 p.m. at Phifer Middle School. Half of our time is spent on fitness activities, while the other half is spent on a variety of sporting tournaments. All of the students at Phifer’s Phittest are well rounded, both athletically and academically, with the potential to excel at anything they wish. However, not all students have decided which sport they would like to pursue. This is where a club like ours is beneficial; Phifer’s Phittest was designed so that students can have fun while finding their unique talent and learn how to use it.
Being involved in athletics growing up has taught me many lessons, shaping me into the adult that I am today. I would like students to benefit from the same opportunities. My goal is to have each of these students identify their own unique athletic talent; I hope some of them are already on their way!
