Obituaries: Longtime Residents, Golf Lover

William S. Wiedman, Jr., 91, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2016. William was a loving husband to Marian Wiedman (nee Clawell) for 70 years; dear father to Carol Chumbley (John) and the late Joyce Ann Kay (Robert); beloved grandfather to William Finnegan III of Pennsauken, Tracy (Edward) Dobleman of Winslow Township, Robert (Catherine) Finnegan of Washington Township, Michelle (Rob) Gould III of Clarksboro, and Thomas (Courtney) Kay of Easton, Pa; great grandfather to Brent and Landon Dobleman, Brianna, Brian, Colin and Darby Finnegan, Payton and Austin Gould and Chloe and Joy Kay; and brother to the late Gertrude Scott.

Bill was a World War II Navy veteran who served aboard the destroyer USS IRWIN (DD-794). He later retired from Campbell Soup after 33 years of service. Bill grew up in Camden, N.J. and then lived most of his life in Pennsauken. He was a devoted member of the Calvary Community Baptist Church in Pennsauken. Bill was very fond of woodworking, shooting pool, model trains, the Phillies, memorializing hundreds of slides and photos onto digital DVDs, and of course loving and supporting his children and grandchildren through years of swimming at Meadowbrook Swim Club, marching in the Pennsauken Marching Band, and playing in various PYAA sports.

A memorial service will take place at a later date at the Willow Valley Retirement Community.

Robert D. Hoskins Sr.

Robert D. Hoskins, Sr., 69, of Pennsauken, formerly of Cherry Hill, passed away on April 16, 2016. He was the husband of the late Margaret “Peggy” Hoskins and father of Robert, Jr. (Marlene), David (Beverly), Tracey (Scott) Williams and the late Mark. He was the loving grandfather to Shelby and Bobby Hoskins, Dylan and Riley Williams and the late Avery Hoskins; and brother of Joyce (David) Oklatner, Ronald (Rosemary) Hoskins, and the late Donald Hoskins. He is also survived by his former wife Mary Hoskins. His viewing and memorial were held at Alloway Funeral Home, Merchantville, N.J. Interment was private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Patrick James Cunning

Patrick James Cunning, 33, of Collingswood, NJ passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2016. Pat was the son of Judith and James Cunning and brother of James Cunning, Shawn (Katie) Cunning and Colleen (Nathan) Donnelly. He is also survived by a nephew, Brayden Donnelly and his girlfriend, Laura Agudelo.

Pat was a graduate of Collingswood High School. He spent his time making people look and feel good with stylish haircuts at Andrew’s Barber Shop in Audubon. Pat was also an avid golfer and a fixture at the Pennsauken Country Club.

Pat’s viewing was held at Foster-Warne Funeral Home, Collingswood, N.J.; Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, St. John Church, also in Collingswood. Interment was private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to The Chieph Scholarship, 23 N. Haviland Ave., Audubon, N.J. 08106.
