Pennsauken Brightens Up The Holidays With Annual Tree Lighting
By Frank Sinatra, AAP Editor
For the fifth year in a row, Pennsauken’s municipal complex, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd., will be aglow during the town’s Holiday Tree Lighting, held on Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Santa Claus arrives via fire engine to light the tree, joining Mrs. Claus and a variety of costumed characters to greet guests. Attendees can walk around the light display on the municipal grounds, enjoy a variety of vehicles lit up for the holidays, watch a professional ice sculptor, and buy a snack from several food trucks. Family fun is taken to another festive level with the return of a carousel, trackless train, and video game trailer!
“Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their friends are coming back to town to help us light the Township’s tree for the holidays,” said Mayor DiBattista. “Afterwards, they’ll be greeting residents who stop by to enjoy a fun and entertaining light display.”
“We have a variety of activities planned throughout the event,” added Vazquez. “You’ll be able to take photos with holiday characters, grab a snack from a food truck, and enjoy your favorite holiday songs.”
Kids can give their letters to Santa, who will read them during a special online video later this month. The Township will also be accepting new, unwrapped toys during the event for the annual Angel Tree program, which helps local families in need during the holidays.
