Pennsauken Hops Into Spring With March 28 Easter Egg Hunt

By Frank Sinatra, AAP Editor

Families can barely contain their egg-citement as the town welcomes the Easter Bunny back for Pennsauken’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. Sponsored by Pennsauken Township, Kiddie Junction of Pennsauken, and Tooth Town Pediatric Dentistry, this year’s free egg hunt will take place on Saturday, March 28, 10:00 a.m., at the Walt Nicgorski Sports Complex, located at Powell and Collins avenues. The Easter Egg Hunt is open to children up to age 9.

“My family, along with so many in Pennsauken, look forward to our town’s annual Easter Egg Hunt,” said Pennsauken Mayor Patrick Olivo. “Each year, this event gets bigger and better. We can’t wait to see you there!”

“Our Easter Egg Hunt is an extremely popular event, so we strongly encourage families to arrive early,” added Juan Vazquez, head of the Township’s Parks and Recreation Department. “And throughout the event, you’ll be able to take a picture with the Easter Bunny with a special backdrop.”

There will be three separate egg hunts broken down by age groups. Each hunt will feature special eggs. A child that collects one of these eggs will win special prizes, courtesy of Kiddie Junction and Tooth Town Pediatric Dentistry.

In addition, family members should bring their cameras or cell phones to take free pictures with the Easter Bunny in a special photo area.

Children should be at the sports complex no later than 9:45 a.m. The first Easter Egg Hunt will start promptly at 10:00 a.m.; the overall event ends quickly, usually finishing within a half hour. In addition, participants should bring a bag, basket, or other container to store their eggs.

The rain date for the event is Saturday, April 4. For more information, call (856) 665-1000 x1420 or email jvazquez@pennsauken.gov.
