Pennsauken Township, the Business, Industry and Government Council and Living Faith Christian Center are hosting the first-ever Pennsauken Job Fair on Thursday, Oct. 23 at the church’s facility located at 2323 Rt. 73, Pennsauken.
Held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., job seekers can meet with a variety of different companies, located right here in Pennsauken, that are actively looking for new hires.
Approximately 20 businesses are expected to participate in the job fair, including Aluminum Shapes, Dicalite, Restaurant Depot, Princeton Tech, CFI/Boomerang, Robinson Waste Disposal, LiDestri, Puratos, J&J Snack Foods, Pepsi Cola/National Brand Beverages, Airborne Systems, CRW Graphics, and MVP Personnel. In addition, several organizations will be on hand to help with crafting resumes, job counseling, employment services, and more.
For job seekers unable to attend the event or for those looking to get a leg up on the competition, Pennsauken Township has a page on their web site that allows residents to upload their resume prior to the job fair. By visiting http://www.twp.pennsauken.nj.us/content/pennsauken-job-fair, individuals can fill out a simple form and upload their resume. Each company attending the event will receive these resumes after the job fair, and Pennsauken’s Department of Economic Development will use the files to create a digital job bank for future employment opportunities in town.
