Pennsauken Lions Hold Pancake Breakfast On April 9
A springtime tradition sponsored annually by the Pennsauken Lions Club, the Ned Davis Memorial Pancake Breakfast will be held on Sunday, April 9, at Macaro’s Deli and Catering, located at 6225 Westfield Ave. in Pennsauken. The all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast will now include made-to-order omelets and will be served from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Tickets are just $10 per person and are on sale now from any Lions Club member or at Macaro’s Deli and Catering.
The money raised from this event benefits the Pennsauken community in a variety of ways. Funds help provide scholarships to multiple eighth grade graduates and two graduates from Pennsauken High School. It assists residents that need eyeglasses or corrective surgery that might not otherwise be able to afford it; and helps sponsor annual eye screenings for Pennsauken pre-schoolers and kindergarteners to determine eye issues before they become a real problem. During the holidays, the Lions help children with vision issues do shopping for their families; and in the summer, they help for local boy scouts go to camp.
The Lions Club is open to anyone 18 years of age or older who would like to be of service to the Pennsauken Community. Anyone interested should contact Pennsaukenlionsclub@gmail.com.
