In a message shared via social media, the Pennsauken Township Police Department enlisted the help of the community to find a hit and run driver that killed a pedestrian in the early morning hours of Oct. 19.
“The Pennsauken Township Police Department and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating a fatal hit-and-run motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian and a single motor vehicle,” wrote Pennsauken Police via an online statement.
At 12:06 a.m. this morning, a vehicle described as a silver color SUV, believed to be a Mercedes-Benz between the model years of 2002 and 2005, collided with a pedestrian on the southbound side of Rt. 130 at the Drexel Ave. intersection. The victim, currently only identified as a 32-year-old male, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle experienced heavy front-end damage and fled the scene of the accident.
