Police Announce Skimming Devices Found At Associated Supermarket

Article updated on February 3, 2026, 9:53 p.m.

Two credit card and debit card skimming devices were discovered Sunday, Feb. 1., on payment keypads at the Associated Supermarket on Westfield Ave., according to a Pennsauken Police posting through the PennsaukenPD app.

Police said the devices were found on two different payment terminals at the store, located at 6100 Westfield Ave. Investigators believe the skimmers had been placed over existing keypads sometime within the past week.

Both devices were removed and seized by the Pennsauken Police Department for further investigation, police said.

Customers who recently used a debit or credit card at the supermarket are urged to contact their card provider and review their accounts for any unauthorized transactions.

Associated Supermarket, shared the following statement with their customers:

Associated Supermarket is notifying customers of a recent security incident identified during a routine daily inspection on February 1, 2026.

During the inspection, management discovered card skimming devices installed on two cash registers. The devices were immediately removed, and the incident was promptly reported to local law enforcement authorities. An investigation is currently underway.

Out of an abundance of caution, Associated Supermarket is advising all customers who used debit, credit, or EBT cards at the store to review their recent account statements and report any unauthorized transactions to their financial institution immediately.

In addition, customers who use EBT cards in the State of New Jersey are strongly encouraged to change their PIN number as soon as possible as an added security precaution. EBT customers may change their PIN by calling the customer service number on the back of their card or by contacting NJ Families First EBT Customer Service at 1-800-997-3333 and following the automated prompts.

Associated Supermarket takes the security and privacy of its customers very seriously. The company has implemented additional monitoring and security measures and continues to cooperate fully with law enforcement and appropriate authorities.

“We sincerely regret any concern this incident may cause our valued customers,” shared Frank Mejia, Associated Supermarket store manager, in an emailed statement to All Around Pennsauken. “Protecting our community is our highest priority, and we are committed to maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment.”

This incident remains under investigation.
