Prosecutor’s Office, Police Announce Arrest Of Shooting Suspects

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Pennsauken Township Police Department announced the arrest of two suspects in the shooting of an 18-year-old male earlier this week.

“Jacquae Roberts, 18, of Camden and a 17-year-old male from Pennsauken are both charged with 1st-degree Attempted Murder, 1st-degree Robbery, 2nd-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and 2nd-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose,” the agencies said in a joint press release. “The juvenile is also charged with 4th-degree Possession of a Firearm by a Minor.”

On Monday, Oct. 13, just after 3:00 p.m., Pennsauken Police officers responded to a call in the 7700 block of Stockton Ave. An 18-year-old male gunshot victim was taken to Cooper University for treatment. During the investigation, it was learned that the shooting incident stemmed from a robbery attempt.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Pennsauken Police Department worked collaboratively to identify Roberts and the juvenile as suspects in the case.

“Roberts and the juvenile were taken into custody in Camden and Pennsauken, respectively, on Friday October 17, 2025, by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division,” the press release stated.
