Second Man Charged In September Homicide

A second man has been charged and arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a Pennsauken man in September, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Pennsauken Police Chief John Nettleton.
George Cruz, 18, of Pennsauken, is charged with one count of first-degree Murder in the Sept. 16 shooting death of Dexter Threadgill, 35, also of Pennsauken.
Police discovered Threadgill outside a grocery store on the 4700 block of Westfield Ave. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The shooting was captured on surveillance footage, showing two men approach Threadgill before firing at him. The shooter, identified as Tsai Davis, 18, of Pennsauken, was arrested and charged on Oct. 16. Cruz was identified as Davis’s accomplice and was arrested on Oct. 17.
Cruz was transported to the Camden County Correctional Facility and is awaiting a detention hearing.
All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
